**Tap, Tap, Tap** Is this thing on??

Yes, it’s been over a month since I last posted. I missed my 1 year blogging anniversary entirely. I officially stink as a blogger. But I really haven’t forgotten! I’ve been searching for a new look for the old blog, and have settled on this one for now. I’m going to be sprucing it up a bit . . . but this is a good starting point!

Anyhow, May has been absolutely crazy. (But again, what month isn’t?) We’ve found a gorgeous house with nearly 2 acres . . . have put in an offer, and had it accepted. So, our house is up for sale, and if we can sell it it looks like a move is in our summer plans! (‘Cause we needed more stuff to do!)

The kids are wrapping up the school year. Meghan graduates from Kindergarten on the 6th . . . and Reilly is done with 3rd Grade on the 9th. I can’t believe this school year is over. Both kids had such fabulous teachers this year, I’m actually sad that they’ll be moving on, despite the fact there next round of teachers is equally fab! Anyhow, I’m busy making teacher gifts, all the while trying not to make too much of a mess. Just in case we get someone wanting to look at the house. Did I mention how much I LOVE the whole real estate process??

I just returned to work after a LOOOOOONG weekend, and boy does it stink!! My holiday weekend was too relaxing. I haven’t been that much of a bum in I can’t remember how long. The boys went to the cabin to help build the deck and do some fishing, so me and Meg stayed home for some quality Girl Time. We started out on Friday with dinner at Noodles & Company followed by shopping. Then on Saturday, we hit a couple of rummage sales, and then headed over to the house of some dear friends. We got to hang out with them and some other dear friends that just moved back to Wisconsin after several years away. I feared it was going to be awkward, but we picked up where we left off, and it was too much fun!! We stayed ALL day!! Didn’t get home until 9:30 p.m. and decided to stay up late watching High School Musical and eating popcorn until way past our bedtime! On Sunday we slept in late, then got up and spent a majority of the day poolside. Meg was braver than I . . . she ventured into the 75 degree pool water, while I was content to sun myself on the diving board! (Do we really want to sell this house? That pool is SO nice during the summer months!) Then we went to Gram & Boppy’s for some burgers and dogs on the grill! Monday, we went to IHOP for breakfast, came home for more swimming, and then waited for the boys to get home!! Just about then, some wicked T-storms rolled through and we spent the remainder of the evening chilling out on the couch.

And yesterday . . . oy! I volunteered to chaperone the Kindergarten Field Trip to the Milwaukee Zoo. That had trouble written all over it from the get-go!! LOL! Fortunately, the parent to kid ratio was about 1:2, so there were plenty of other moms to be miserable with when it started pouring about half way into our day! We’re not talking sprinkles. A full downpour complete with Thunder and Lightning. Fortunately, we found shelter in the Dairy exhibit. It was smelly (Talk about Dairy Air) but it also had and ice cream store within it, so the kids were only mildly annoyed that we were stuck inside. We got drenched on the way back to the bus, but survived. No lost kids, no injuries. Thank goodness. :)

So . . . back to work and back to semi-normalcy. Except it’s Wednesday already, and my internal clock is goofed up pretty bad! Almost the weekend again!
