I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. I suck at blogging. Don’t get me wrong — at least once a day some anecdote will pop into my head and I think, “I really should blog this.” But then as soon as I sit down at the computer, I forget. And after almost 2 months of not posting, I wondered if it is (or I am) a lost cause!
Needless to say, since the topic of blogs came up with my fellow QK designers, I figured I’d better throw an update out here in case anyone comes looking!!
The last two months have been busy, challenging, and EXCITING!!! I’m loving the new DT gig!! It has been keeping me very busy! I can’t wait until some of my stuff appears on the QK website . . . THEN I’ll have something to blog about! LOL!
I did find out right before CHA that I have actually been pubbed!! One of the cards I did while on the Leave Memories DT actually made it into the book that Holli just put out!! I don’t have a physical copy of the booklet yet, but one of my former team members send me a scan! Woo hoo!! (Does this make me a credible pubster yet?? )
In other exciting news, I’m gearing up for the QuicKutz DT retreat in March. Mind you, I’ve never been away from my family for any length of time, and I sort of fear the outcome of a mom-less house (even for a short time) but am looking forward to the escape greatly. I need it, really. I have threatened on more than one occasion to run away to join the circus, so perhaps that is a sign that I could use a wee break. I can’t believe I have actually threatened to join the circus, because circuses themselves freak me out. But whenever I say it, the kids look at me with a half-worried, half-”she’s joking, right?” look on their faces. But the prospect with a)hopping on a plane and actually going somewhere, b) hanging out with the faboo DT gals, and c) SHOPPING has got me quite worked up. I’ve been mentally packing since I heard about it!!
Since the weekend following my trip is my birthday weekend, (my 9th annual 29th birthday, in case anyone is wondering) my DH announced that he’ll be taking us to a waterpark hotel for the weekend!! (My uber-pale, flabby body actually shuddered at the mere mention of “waterpark” . . . but I know that we’ll all have a blast!)
So, I’m trying to concentrate on all of the upcoming fun, and not on my 5298 page To Do list!! I won’t bore you with those details, though . . .
